yes they hold all key positions, both in administration and in business. but not in politics. Its slowly changing, creating another kamma/reddy type 2nd tier wannabe brahmins, who are as worse as the original, sometimes worse.

the tambrams cry about lost glory, and lie about being oppressed, propagate sh1t that they are forced to move out of TN. get on twitter, go to any tambram forum, get into any whatsapp group, its all lies about how this brahmin was beaten, that brahmin's sacred thread was cut, and someone booed a brahmin.

With BJP resurgence in the past 3yrs (even in TN, though most don't notice it), this nuisance has gotten much worse. Lots of Tambrams who were slyly hiding behind rational movement have started to criticize DMK (most of it fair, but sometimes it veers into lies about brahmin persecution)

reaction t0 Chinmayi ('metoo' singer from TN, remember?) accusation of a DMK fav, and its reaction is an extension of this politics playing out in the open.

in the midst of all this, they still don't forget to fight amongst themselves too. something to do with smarthas or some such sh1t. One of my tambram friend did explain to me patiently what it was all about, but it all went over my head. haha.. bunch of losers all of them, and he agrees too.

baa, by all accounts Vajpayee was a bigot. among the worst. as long as you don't hail him as a hero, its fine.

list of bigots - All PMs of India (especially Lal Bahadur Shastri). Sonia Gandhi (the defacto PM) was the exception. She was probably not a bigot.

just imagine if the 3% is very rich (compared to the rest), but whatever they say politically is met with extreme mockery. Their politics is restricted to pointless platitudes (like Kamala haasan), and BJP thuggery. They have nothing to constructive to offer to TN now. Nobody listens to them.

Its a scary situation to be in. So I don't blame them entirely, except them lying about being attacked, because when things get bad, it actually may happen, given how some among them (SuSuSwamy for eg) go too far as to praise SriLankan PM, just to get a raise out of radical tamils.

The arrogance of  the 3% to keep shitting on the ruling coaltion (mostly middle castes pretending to be dravidian, including telugu castes), and getting away with it, is not going to sit for long. 

That 3% won't form political alliances, won't pivot from their entitlement, won't join any popular movements. Nothing to endear themselves politically to create an anti-DMK coalition, which they can do if they tried.. Its a funny thing to watch from the sidelines, when they do their fake crying. Its true of india too, in general. Its stark in TN, because historically - after Kerala, TN brahmins were the most cruel (they call it being resourceful) to their fellow humans.

except they are extremely cunning and smart with their replies. and strategies.

an avg upper middle class person without any historical context to happenings in TN (99.999999% in this db) will agree with them, which will slowly give the entire control back to them.

too bad their strategies never revolve around forming coalitions, but always to fight for their lost privileges. their demands on the political arena are funny and they will always be mocked in TN. They've realised this, and some even hope for destruction of TN (like the rest of India does).

but my personal experience is, they are the second least progressive. the least is the current ruling dispensation (DMK+ADMK types).

if I meet 10 people in random from a particular caste group in TN - 8 of them from dalit groups will be against caste

0.1 out of 10 brahmins will be against caste, but around 5-6 will claim to be anti-caste (like in this db), but adhi chelladu. hehe..

ADMK, DMK types 0.01 out of 10 will be anti caste. hehe..
