Bro Public A1 jagga ni choose chesthe will you agree CBN failed ? If CBN indeed did some good work he will get elected. Nobody knows better than CBN in showing whatever good work he has done (and also fake publicity) .

The Telangana Irrigation Department made it amply clear to Andhra Pradesh government that there is no need for any sort of new agreements between the two States on sharing and utilisation of Godavari waters as there are no common projects or reservoirs on the river. It also dismissed AP’s claim that the Kaleshwaram project and Sitarama project taken up by Telangana government to provide water to the parched lands in the State, do not have either any official allocation nor availability of water.

The Irrigation Department took strong exception to the contention of AP, as mentioned in a status note on the two projects, that Kaleshwaram was a new project taken up by Telangana government after the State bifurcation to draw 240 tmc of water from Godavari river. The Department clarified that Kaleshwaram was not a new project. It was part of the Pranahita Chevella Sujala Shravanti taken up by the then government in the undivided State. The government which had a thorough review and redesigning of the project after bifurcation sought to implement it in two components — Dr B R Ambedkar Pranahita project and Kaleshwaram project. This was sufficiently clarified in the detailed project report and the Central Water Commission (CWC) had given all its clearances by considering it to be part of the original project.

 

The project was also given clearance by the Technical Advisory Committee of the CWC. AP had often been trying to project Kaleshwaram as a new project and trying to raise the matter in the Apex council. But the projects that were started by the previous regimes in the undivided State will not come under the purview of the State Reorganisation Act, the department clarified. The Godavari water allocations were made between the two States as per the Bacchawat Tribunal Award. But the project-wise allocations were yet to be made. No specific allocation was made by the Tribunal even for the Dhowleshwaram barrage, it asserted.
