Be smart and if you are expecting something from in-laws property  then you have to deal with all of them the way you deal office politics.

I know a case.

One SIL was a decent guy. Never complained about anything. No comparisons, no jealousy. Pandakki adhi kaavali, idhi kaavali ani no demands. At the same time, in-laws tho mari close ga kuuda kaadhu.

Second SIL was kind of narcissist. Eppudu complaining and demands for gifts. Every festival or function lo edho lopam teesi maryadha ivva ledani complains

Third SIL was cho chweet guy. In-laws ni full maska kotte vaadu. Regular ga calls cheyyadam. Koncham sick ayina inka parents kante ekkuva care cheyyadam etc etc. But everyone realized that he was playing a long game. Ala in-laws ni full ga buttalo padesukunnadu.

Finally, property divide chese time ki third SIL i.e. daughter got better deals in terms of property etc. Second SIL godava chesina emi workout avvaledhu. And first guy realized later that he too should have played the game.
