Government shutdown-visa interviews impact

Does the government shutdown impact the h1b interview slots availability. 
Attorney is saying that due to the shutdown there is a chance that the slots might not be available and the interviews might be suspended. 
Is that true

first appt is on feb 15.

Any insights as to how to get an earlier date..i have been checking the dates day and night ..kani no use.

In government shutdown visa interview does not have issue but in case of 221g dos(depart of state ) which does the verification such as finger print database and calling employer and client and reverting back consulate about verification all these things will be delayed..I had firs hand experience if these things in 2013..just FYI..better to avoid visa stamping during govt shutdown it's not direct impact but indirect

Did you get a slot. If not, Try to check every morning at 6 ist and evening at 5 ist. Usually slots open at that time. ATB.

no impact but tg elections valla closed and holidays.. have a ripple effect on slots and drop box processing.. its taking longer times to move to processing from the drop data...na frnd 10 veste 24 opened and 28 picked..
