Changing vendor in same client

Joined client x in Apr 2018 through a vendor ABC 

So it's Employer - Vendor - Client model

This vendor ABC is taking 25% of Billing.

There are only 2 employess thru this vendor for this client - myself and another guy.

 

 

 

Now there is another vendor DEF, who is also primary for the client, and almost 70% of contractors are through him. This vendor takes only 10% of billing rate. 

 

 

So can I change from vendor ABC to DEF while working for same Client? How to approach Client about this? Will it be good if I do so ? 

Or

Should I first talk with my vendor ABC about increasing my billing rate and if doesn't work then talk with client ? 

Or

Should I talk with vendor DEF about that I am interested to join thru him, so that he will talk with Client ? 

 

Pl suggest 

 

FYI: My current PO with client thru vendor ABC is till Dec 2019.

it depends on client bro, for some clients u cant change PrimeVendor atleast...you need to go out of proj and come back after certain perios

 

ask your client

I don't think this client has so strict rules about changing vendor. So suggest which will be my best approach ?

25% is normal for prime vendors...some take 30%..u can switch..ask client manager...

Talk to your Manager . If he/she is supportive picha light. Some clients will have agreements with vendors . Also, some managers will get few $ per hr through vendors. Alanti situations em lekunda client is willing to do  new contract with another vendor ayite no issues.

In some cases you might need to get NOC from current vendor to change to another one under same client.
