H1b Drop box Hyderabad

Submitted documents in VFS on Dec 31st 2018 ( Full time job)

Case created and updated as Application received on Jan 7 2019.

Status shows as Administrative Processing  on Jan 10 2019.

Passport is still with Embassy as per tracker. 

How long would this take. Any suggestions would help. Did any one experience.  Please share

Administrative processing is a common stage for drop box.. i went through the same..

my timeline for Hyderabad drop box:

Dec 26 - dropped documents

Jan 3 - Application received status

Jan 8 - Administrative Processing ( around 4 pm)

Jan 9 - Issued ( around 3 pm)

Jan 10 today 12 pm : passport ready for pickup

Dont panic, you will get it soon.

yes , please share your experience regarding document submission. What documents to be carried, how long it will take for document submission etc.

same here.. full time.. so don't worry. Admin Processing is a step now..

day 1 documents submitted..

day 2 Admin processing..

day 5 Visa Granted

day 7 collected my passport

When you try to schedule a visa interview appointment, the system asks few questions and based on your answers, your dropbox(interview waiver) eligibility will be decided.

once eligible for dropbox, there is no need to schedule any appointment, you can go anytime to the dropbox facility(address will be provided during your scheduling process). Check the dropbox facility hours in hyderabad. I think its 10 Am to 4 pm monday to friday, please crosscheck.

Docs required: 1) New H1 797 original and copy 2) Old H1 797 copy ( doesnt harm if you carry originals also) 3) 2 usa style passport photos 4) DS 160 confirmation page 4) interview waiver letter confirmation 5) passport ofcourse ( old and new if it applies for you)

Anyways the above list of documents will also be provided during your scheduling process.

You will get the interview confirmation waiver page/letter when you go through the general process to schedule the visa appointment. This ofcourse happens if you are eligible for interview waiver(dropbox).

Thanks Bhayya for the information, I got everything set, just want to know if its same place where we give biometrics for initial stamping, would it be like an interview/talk to a person or just literally drop documents in a office?

its the same office where you go for biometrics.....just a different line to enter that VFS office....once you are there, submit all documents in a counter and just relax
