On January 15, 2009, Captain Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger safely landed US Airways Flight 1549 after the plane collided with a flock of geese and the engines stopped shortly after takeoff from New York's LaGuardia Airport. Sullenberger, co-pilot Jeffrey Skiles and all 155 passengers aboard survived.
