They projected the GPSK saying it is telugu jaathi pride. To cash on the new AP state formation excitement.

But in reality GPSK didn't even used Telugu much in real life.

Now regarding the historical part

1. The rivalry with Saka ruler Nahapana( Kabir Bedi) was real. However Satkarni married the Saka princesses, a way of making peace with them. Actually for me, this was one of the short comings of the movie. Not much has been established of Satkarni’s back story, the focus was more on the battles he fought, and his attempts to unify all the warring kingdoms.
2. In one scene, Satkarni gives his mother Gautami( Hema Malini), the pride of place at the Rajasuya Yagna. When some object, he talks to them about importance of women, and also declares he is taking his name along with his mother. However Satavahana society already had a strong women influence, and what he does in the movie was more or less an accepted practice. However the part about him declaring the Salivahana Saka is true.
3. The repelling of Demetrius seems more or less cinematic liberty. While there was Demetrius I, he attacked India during reign of Pushyamitra Sunga. There is really no recorded instance of a battle between him and Srjman
4. Also Satkarni mostly used Sanskrit and Prakrit, even for official proclamations. In such a scenario, difficult to imagine Telugu connection here. Anyway that looked more like cinematic liberty to me.

While there are some claims the Satavahana rulers might have ruled from Kotilingala on the basis of coins being found there, Mr Reddy said that it is highly inaccurate to say this because  one cannot claim that the Roman empire had extended till Tamil Nadu coast as some Roman coins were found there.

Other factual errors in the film include the use of stirrups by horse riders when stirrups were not known to Indians at that time.

He said Demitrius was shown in the film as fighting against Gautamiputra Satakarni. However, he said Demitrius is not a contemporary of Gautamiputra Satakarni as there exists a gap of hundreds of years.

The Shakas continued in power until the early 5th Century AD and are credited with the introduction of the Shaka era in 78 AD. The Shaka era begins in 78 AD, not the Satavahana era.

Mr Reddy said the Satavahana did not shift their capital at the peak of their rule.

“It was Rudradaman, a Saka ruler from Western Kshatrapa dynasty, who defeated Pula-mavi and pushed him down to the south — coastal AP. As a result, Pulamavi made Dhara-nikota his capital.”

“This means Pulamavi came to Andhra as a fugitive, not as a conqueror, which is what the film tries to convey,” he said. 

He said there is also no evidence to show that Gautamiputra Satakarni had annexed Magadha as shown in the film or he ruled the entire India.

entertainment kosam sudale..bagunte oka..else not ok...simple fact don't waste m0ney without checking review on the site.....as only 20% of the movies are good...

fans ki sense undadho kabati..senseless vale sync aitharu...so stay away....

1st part ye chaana better kaanesam vaadi cinema entry, appatlo cinemalu ela theese vallu ani choopinche chance anna undhi. 2nd part lo Nakka gaadi character RANA tho cheyisthu, vennupotu episode loka kalyanam kosamey ani choopistharu. 1st part ki ummesina janalu, 2nd part choosak uccha postharu bala, krish and nakka galla meedha
