file USCIS FOIA request to get  entire H1b petition application .. you will get the CD with all the info in about 1- 2 months.

h1b 6th yr, i need to file h1 transfer using i140 is that enough foia wont provide i797 copies they provided i140 copy

Contact an immigration lawyer...

You can always obtain a duplicate copy of i797 approval if it's lost or misplaced....

Easy process with application....but takes 3-4 months...
