hotmaddy Posted January 21, 2019 Report Posted January 21, 2019 I am looking for some help accessing my LAN IP from outside. Googling youtubing chesa not much help. LAN IP Address: I have a LAN IP 192.168.1.99. If I am within the LAN, I can open webpage of this device internally by typing this IP address. But I would like access the same page from outside my LAN. Port forwarding set chesa. Port 8112 and Protocol both TCP and UDP ki set chesa. WAN DDNS: WAN ki DDNS set chesa so instead of typing my PublicIP:PortNumber I can simply type ServerName:PortNumber. I can access router from outside and everything is fine. Question: I have tried both ServerName:8112 (8112 is the port number of the local IP that I set it up during port forwarding refer above) and PublicIP:8112 to access the webpage of 192.168.1.99 but no luck. What am I missing?? TIA. Quote

This static IP has to be mapped in router too for forwarding 5. Now while in internet , use public IP of modem to access this site i did this many times Quote
devarakonda Posted January 22, 2019 Report Posted January 22, 2019 What is the internal port that you forwarded the traffic to? To better test it out, install httpd on the machine with IP 192.168.1.99 and setup your port forwarding to 80 internally and see the magic. Quote

The device web page that I am trying to access is not a PC. It's a Micro Controller with Wi-Fi. When I type 192.168.1.99 on web browser it gives the status of the Micro-Controller. I don't know how to open the port on a Micro-Controller. Actually Let me take a step back. Is port forwarding even the correct way to access devices from outside LAN?? or should I use NAT passthrough? 2. All the devices on my LAN has fixed IP. They won't change since I assigned Manually.
