Its obvious people overreacted.

but that's not the deal here. They are contracted players, and are part of bcci's brand.

Its the bcci brand that took a hit, and they reacted to it.

The least they should know what they did was a serious breach of contract.

I dont know... does their contract with BCCI prohibits them from giving interviews?

CoA is like the ombudsman to the BCCI who has been so far making money off the India brand, without any accountability. So what is your problem with CoA, apart from chillara thing you said about old guys making less money than blah blah..

pretty sure it does. BCCI may be lax at enforcing them, but sponsors won't be.

a simple clause that a player is expected to conduct himself in accordance with the values or something blah blah as set by the team, is enough to consider this breach of contract.

I'm assuming ofcourse. that's the best anyone can do in this situation.

I would've preferred a mild rebuke, a one match ban, and counselling for the two players, instead of the extensive ban that may affect their careers.

do they give interviews with sexual connotations? did you hear what Pandya said?

he was boasting about having a boatload of women to fcuk. and how he sizes up his prey (because he's dark, and is in a darkly lit club) by observing them from afar, before he makes the move.

what does this say about the team? about the team which is worth many billions of dollars?

I'm not a cricket historian, so I can't remember exactly when it started, but I distinctly recall plenty of news about BCCI restricting player interviews before and during a series since the 2000s.

I think it was in response to the match fixing scandals or something. but this is a hot button too.

Pandya let his team down. simple. pretty sure, plenty of his mates are not happy with him.

the ban (for a short while) is good for him and the team.

but this ban seems to go on forever and ever. paapam.
