Go to near embassy website

There you will find docs for power of attorney

Houston means check Houston website

There are 2 ways to do this

1. Send a regular power of attorney that is filled, signed and sealed by a notary in the US  --> This is good for buying but AFAIK not for selling. 

2. When you are in India go to the local registration office and do a power registration in your parents' name. This gives almost every kind of authority for the registrant including selling, buying on your behalf.

I’ve done it for buying 

bank sent documents and format 

collected all documents

notarized at UPS as required

affixed pics signed across where required

sent all back to India Fedex 

good for POA and everything taken care of

Easiest is if embassy sets up camp

I got it done 

No need to send any documents or notary required

nearest emabassy for me is Washington DC.

do you think we can get it done going there - all in one business day?
