పోలవరం, జనవరి 23: పోలవరం ప్రాజెక్టును చూడటానికి సందర్శకులు పోటెత్తారు. రాష్ట్రం నలుమూలల నుంచి బుధవారం ఒక్కరోజే 275 బస్సుల్లో సుమారు 14వేల మంది తరలిరావడంతో ఈ ప్రాంతం తిరునాళ్లను తలపించింది. కార్లు, టెంపోల్లోనూ పెద్దఎత్తున జనం వచ్చారు. రైతులు, విద్యార్థులు, మహిళలు బారులు తీరడంతో భోజనశాల లోపలికి అడుగుపెట్టే దారిలేక బయటే వేచి ఉండాల్సిన పరిస్థితి ఏర్పడింది. అయినా నిర్వాహకులు మొత్తం పది కౌంటర్లు ఏర్పాటు చేసి అందరికీ భోజనాలు వడ్డించారు. కాగా, 2018 మార్చి 23న ప్రారంభించిన పోలవరం యాత్రకు వచ్చినవారి సంఖ్య బుధవారానికి 5.23లక్షలు దాటింది. మొత్తం 10,049 బస్సులు, 3,702 కార్లు, 244 టెంపోల్లో రైతులు, విద్యార్థులు, మహిళలు ప్రాజెక్టు సందర్శనకు వచ్చినట్టు అధికారికంగా నమోదైంది. వీరుకాక అనధికారికంగా పండుగల రోజుల్లో, శని, ఆదివారాలు, సెలవు దినాల్లో ప్రైవేట్‌ వాహనాల్లో మరో 8వేల మంది వచ్చారు. ప్రాజెక్టు వద్ద సందర్శకుల వివరాల నమోదుకు అధికారులు ప్రత్యేక శిబిరం ఏర్పాటు చేశారు.
