The other day I was thinking about Elon Musk, and concluded that if this piece of sh1t is considered a genius, with no singular original invention, it means humans have reached the limits of what they could achieve on the mass consumer scale products, barring any new breakthrough in applied science. so I'm betting that there won't be a slowdown, but a fascist, nativist uprising in all countries of note, and a world war. And moving my family back to where I was born (not India), so I can live among Indians. Hopefully I get a university job, and try to not be an uppercaste asshole. Yes progress in Science is always slow, and not linear, but mostly in short bursts. The amount of bullshit products that are being marketed these days (eg. Elon Musk's desperate antics to sell his cars, by pushing narratives like fitting Tesla with cold thrusters so it can fly etc), makes me believe that the end of capitalism is near. because there won't be any new product that will get people lining up to buy it in the next couple decades. But economy, and consumer excitement can't wait for science to catch up to their fantasies. so when there is nothing new in the market, the old guard (rich/middle class etc) will look to consolidate their position. people are neck deep in the competition game (even people without many skills), and will do any thing to save their status. Only two ways to go. one, world war. another, decreasing consumption all around, and doing more collaborative large scale/small scale projects where fruits are enjoyed by everyone involved. I hate nationalists. I wish they fight for their country, and get killed in battle and leave the rest of us in peace. Quote
