Following the longest government shutdown in US history, the press secretary gave an on-camera briefing. Secretary of the Treasury Steven Mnuchin, National Security Advisor John Bolton and economic adviser Larry Kudlow joined Sanders to announce details of new sanctions against Venezuela and discuss the economy. Sarah Sanders fielded questions about the government shutdown and border wall negotiations.
