reality Posted January 31, 2019 Report Posted January 31, 2019 Mundhu aa Supposed theesey... it only adds drama, try to frame it simply. Quote
ekunadam_enkanna Posted January 31, 2019 Report Posted January 31, 2019 "Supposed to do" itself is a modal construction. So, get rid of double modals such as "would"/"should" + "supposed to". So, your (1) and (2) are out. Even third one is out for different reasons. Transform that interrogative sentence to an imperative one: "An electrical engineer does supposed to know...." is syntactically wrong. The imperative one reads as: "An electrical engineer is supposed to know.." "How is he supposed to know ...?" is the correct one. So, all three are out. Quote
vikuba Posted January 31, 2019 Report Posted January 31, 2019 how will an electrical engineer , know a mechanical problem? how would an electrical engineer know, the mechanical issues in the system ? to be honest...dont know about your real issue but an electrical guy is supposed to know the mechanical issues that arise when you power a system up Quote
