I think you cant claim $2000 with ITIN, but you can get atleast $500 if you have ITIN but no SSN. and I also read some where that this ITIN should be issued before dec 2018. So any child dependents coming this year to USA cant claim anything from here on.. Quote

Every year i was getting $1000 as a credit but this time i got only $500. My child has ITIN and issued before dec 2018. FYI: I filed my taxes through TurboTax. Quote
