ProfessorHP Posted February 6, 2019 Report Posted February 6, 2019 Do we need visa stamping for alaskan cruise boarding in seattle? i see that that is a stop in Victoria, Canada. Was not sure if we need H1B stamped before we boarded the cruise. Any info regarding the cruise lines, deals, must visit places in Alaska, things to do and things not to do etc would be appreciated. phatposts Posted February 6, 2019 Report Posted February 6, 2019 If you have no plans to disembark in the international port (Vancouver, BC) - you do not need a visa. However, if the cruise has to stop there and force you to disembark due to weather/vessel situation you will need a Canadian visa to disembark and a US Stamped visa to get back on the vessel. Quote

You don’t need a visa stamp as long you have an expired visa stamp, approved and valid i797A and unexpired i94 see this link - https://help.cbp.gov/app/answers/detail/a_id/1218/~/automatic-revalidation-for-certain-temporary-visitors i went on cruise to Mexico in similar status. Only caveat is that the cruise should not stop in any other country other than Mexico or Canada 1 Quote
