220k is approx 18.5k per month. That is a lot of money no.

Yes Not everyone makes 400k per year..  Very few people make that kindof money in bay area like 5% may be..  Average salaries are between 150 to 250k..

there are people who are earning 120K and surviving in Bay Area...

so called 150--250-400k numbers are only for directors etc..in FAANG companies.

Directors at FAANG make close to million. Atleast at fb, goog & netflix.

software engineers salary range would be 140k to 500k depending upon yoe and interview performance.

 

i know people who are surviving with 80-90k salary too in bayarea.
