Congress nearing a deal on border security as Trump shows flexibility on wall

As reported by The New York Times, the Washington Examiner and CNN, lawmakers are closing in on a border security deal ahead of a February 15 shutdown deadline that would allocate approximately $2 billion toward a physical barrier along the southern border – well short of the nearly $6 billion requested by President Trump. A weekend agreement appeared possible on Friday as a bipartisan group of lawmakers headed to Camp David for talks with the White House.
