Anta Assamey Posted February 13, 2019 Report Posted February 13, 2019 Hyderabad: In another blow to the Telugu Desam Party headed by N Chandrababu Naidu, Chirala MLA Amanchi Krishna Mohan today resigned from his TDP membership, submitted a letter to that effect to the party leadership, and officially joined the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP). Speaking to the media after meeting YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at his residence here, Krishna Mohan praised Jagan saying he was a man of conviction and has stood by his words and was the only alternative for Andhra Pradesh State. He said that had the same kind of conviction like his father late Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy and was his true successor. That was why he was joining the party. He further stated that he would be contesting from Chirala on YSRCP ticket in the upcoming AP Assembly elections. He pointed out that there were several reasons behind his quitting the TDP membership. Krishna Mohan strongly criticized the TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu, saying that Naidu was behaving like a dictator and that one has to be in sync with the party high command's whimsical ways. He also said that he had doubts about the mentalconditionof Naidu, as he says onething and changesit the next minute. He alleged that the ‘Pasupu Kumkuma’ scheme was a big farce and said that the money was just wasted without actually reaching the poor women. He alleged that in the Tuni episode, false cases were foisted on his brother and the whole issue was unnecessarily politicized. He also said that he had sent petitions about issues in his constituency to Chandrababu, but none tooknote of the same. “There are many outsiders who are influencing Chandrababu and he is not in a position to listen to anybody as of now,” he said and added that on a small issue, Chandrababu ran away from Hyderabad, and the employees are facing many problems at Amaravathi, devoid of even drinking water and proper shelter. Chandrababu had also taken a U turn on special status issue, Krishna Mohan added. Quote
