The most undeserving Nobel Laureate...Nobel peace prize lost its prominence when a distinguished gentleman like Kailash Satyarthi had to share the peace prize with Malala.

she spoke against fundamentalists in her country. it requires some courage to speak out against something that is adopted by majority in your society as a given.

we anon internet posters are not qualified to pass judgement on what she does/doesn't deserve.

especially since most anon posters actually speak for, and not against, the vulgarity in society. anon posters encourage, and justify this vulgarity by stretching the truth and logic to its extreme.

compared to us, she's an angel. and a brave heart.

I have no idea what she says. some people tell me that she parrots Islamist garbage that seculars love, and that she's too respectful of the tradition she pretends to challenge.

It may be true. I have no idea. I'm just saying that she was shot, because she offended some people with guns, and its a really brave thing to do for a young girl.

personally, I've never even googled her.

I can rattle out dozen radical former muslim names who challenged the status quo in their societies, and are on the run for it.

compared to them, malalai is probably overrated. but then, I don't know about her. I normally don't read about wishy washy 'reformers', that are coopted by the establishment.

eg. kailash satyarthi who was hailed as saviour of kids, has since been caught making excuses for child labour, and giving other heinous things a pass.

but I don't know about malalai.
