why do govts exist even?

because simple.. People don't trust each other's promises. Actually they do, but not in a scale that can create a working modern civilization with complex structure. So they have a 3rd party to enforce the promises (contracts) they made to each other.

so now this 3rd party has grown so big and powerful that it can command people to its will. designate where people can go and not go.. do and not do..

and people who elected this 3rd party to regulate their transactions are letting this 3rd party dictate every aspect of their life.

Even kings were not this powerful.

even religious leaders are not this powerful.. other than some cult leaders who influence a fraction of the people that the govts of the day can influence.

government is a 3rd party madhya vartha in your life. not some thing that you owe an allegiance to.

Even if in letter, you are forced to owe that allegiance when you accept a nationality. atleast you must be conscious that no govt deserves that allegiance.

I agree

no government deserves anything

it’s the people who make or break it

by govt, i mean the state itself.. Not just the one elected for 5 yrs.

the entire structure doesn't deserve your allegiance. The nation doesn't deserve your allegiance.

I am a former entrepreneur, former options trader, current associate professor in maths, desperately trying to find some spark in my life, that will let me avoid people and focus on work that will excite me.

I found out that people, in general, are crap, recently.

thinking about people, the only solution seems to be.. give up on them.

They are worth nothing.

What one finds in others is generally within

being a talented individual I believe you should be like a Swiss knife. Useful to all in many directions.

That is is where you eventually would like to find the spark ️ in life
