I'm a recent graduate with master's in civil engineering from a university in Georgia. I made a big mistake choosing Civil for Masters instead of IT (Difficult to get a job). My family is uneducated and I didn't get proper guidance for my career.

I'm looking for a job in IT. I don't have programming experience but did one programming course in undergrad (C language) and know the basics. Please suggest which platform i should choose that has good future and doesn't take too much time to learn? I can spend couple of months to learn and if it takes more time than that i might run out of money.

Thank you! for your guidance.

Not really interested in Civil. I'm willing to learn. I'm learning basics of SQL and know R a little (basic).  But want to learn something that pays well and has good prospects. Already made a mistake with choosing Civil and dont want to make another mistake.☹️
