Agree the logic, but its not pragmatic with the counties like Pakistan where everything is haywire. If you strangle them with economy, it will help the cause to recruit more civilians into their extremist organizations, for bread and butter.

does the US strangle canadian economy? No, it coopts its elites, and exploits canada for resources.

india's fight with pakistan is between its elites. its an ego clash. its not even religious at this point.

India can easily coopt pakistan elites. sure, there will be regions that will harbour terrorists, but pakistanis will fight them for you.

it makes me sick giving this suggestion. but the conversation has long passed the window of decency, and is bordering on genocidal intents towards pakistanis. its not going to help anyone. especially when both countries have nukes.

personally, I think both countries elites should shut the fcuk up and move to UK/US and let everybody else live in peace.

the areas that do encourage terrorism in pakistan (apart from punjab, sindh), the battle is different. Their targets are inside pakistan.

India focused terrorists come mostly from punjab region. These people are very amenable to economic incentives.

the other regions are not so. but their fight is not against India, unless india goes to extract their resources.

the only problem is, pakistani elites are even more entitled than indian ones. They have pretensions of having arab genes, and are generally trash.

but India must find a way to make them toe the Indian line. like how Chinese have done with Taiwan.
