The image from this year's Super Bowl watch party at Trump's West Palm Beach country club was scooped by the Miami Herald. New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft was charged for soliciting sex in February as part of an investigation into a Florida massage parlor.

ఫ్లోరిడా: పోలీసులు చేసిన చిన్న పొరబాటు ఓ ప్రవాస భారతీయుడి జీవితాన్ని నరకం చేసింది. అతని కుటుంబం పరువు తీసింది. పోలీసు శాఖ తమ పొరబాటు సరిదిద్దుకునేప్పటికే జరగవలసిన నష్టం జరిగిపోయిందని వాపోతున్నాడా ఎన్నారై. విషయమేంటంటే? ఫ్లోరిడాలో ఇటీవల స్పాల పేరిట వ్యభిచార గృహాలు నడుపుతున్న వారిని పోలీసులు అరెస్టు చేశారు. ఈ కేసు పరిశోధనలో చాలా విషయాలు వెలుగు చూశాయి. ఇది చాలా పెద్ద కుంభకోణమని తేలింది. కేవలం వ్యభిచారం చేయించడానికే అమ్మాయిలను అక్రమంగా ఈ ప్రాంతానికి తరలిస్తున్నారని కూడా వార్తలొచ్చాయి. ఈ కేసులో ఇప్పటికే చాలామందిని అరెస్టు చేసిన పోలీసులు.. సందీప్ పాటిల్ అనే ఓ ఎన్నారైని కూడా అరెస్టు చేశారు. ఓ స్పాలో లభించిన వీడియో ఫుటేజీలో సందీప్ ఉన్నాడని వారు ఆరోపించారు. అయితే ఆ తాను ఉన్నట్లు చెప్తున్న వీడియో రికార్డయిన సమయంలో తాను చికాగోలో ఉన్నానని, తనకు ఈ కేసుకు ఎటువంటి సంబంధం లేదని సందీప్ స్పష్టం చేశారు. అయితే అతని వాదనలతో అంగీకరించని పోలీసులు అతనిపై కేసు నమోదు చేసి అరెస్టు చేశారు. తీరా చూస్తే పోలీసులదే పొరబాటని, ఆ వీడియోలో ఉన్నది సందీప్ కాదని తేలింది. దీంతో వెంటనే సందీప్‌ను విడుదల చేసిన పోలీసులు.. అతనికి క్షమాపణలు చెప్పారు. ఈ కేసు వల్ల తన కుటుంబ పరువు పోయిందని, తనకు ఇద్దరు కూతుళ్లున్నారని, వారికి తాను ఎలా మొహం చూపించగలనని ఆయన బాధపడ్డారు. వ్యభిచారం కేసులో ఇరుక్కున్న తన కూతుళ్లను ఎవరూ వివాహం కూడా చేసుకోరని వాపోయారు. తనకు ప్రభుత్వం పరిహారం చెల్లించాలని డిమాండ్ చేశారు.

How is it defamation? In the US, it is always, “Shoot first, ask questions later”.

If they have to arrest someone, they will. If they have to release someone, they will (sometimes without an apology). And if you are an alien, things get blown out of proportion quickly.

An arrest does NOT mean anything in the US - anyone could get arrested for some silly reason. Even Trump can be arrested. Innocent until proven guilty - beyond doubt.

He is behaving like he lost his respect because of the arrest, his daughters won’t be married and expecting to get paid damages for it. This is not India where it is considered a taboo even if cops pay a visit to our residence or if we have to step inside a police station (leave alone getting arrested).

He was released with an apology for the mistaken identity and his innocence was all documented - why is that not adequate? He should just laugh at their boo-boo and move on... But he is sounding old-fashioned and did not sink into this society or understands how things work. He could get branded as an opportunist if he continues it.

What happened

Dougherty has said the confusion came as investigators researched the four-door Porsche in which the man who received the sex services left. Dougherty said the Porsche was registered to a woman with the last name of Patel and co-registered to a man not named Patel.
