A Pakistan military officer admitted to "martyrdom" of more than 200 militants during Indian strike on Balakot, a Gilgit activist, based in the US, tweeted on Wednesday. "[Army officer] Calls the terrorists Mujahid who receive special favours/ sustenance from Allah as they fight to support PAK government [against enemies]. Vows to support families," Senge Hasnan Sering tweeted.

ANI, after talking to Sering, wrote that there were reports in the Urdu media that bodies were shifted from Balakot to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. "There is enough evidence where one could speculate with confidence that the Balakot strike by the Indian Air Force was successful and Pakistan has not been able to prove otherwise since it has not enabled the international media or national media to visit the site," he told ANI.

Earlier, an Italian journalist had claimed that Pakistan army carried away at least 35 dead bodies from the spot.

The IAF, using its Mirage 2000 fighter jets, carried out the strike on the major training camp of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) days after the terror outfit orchestrated a suicide attack on a CRPF convoy at Pulwama, killing 40 jawans.

Francesca Marino, an Italian journalist, told the WION TV channel that her source had confirmed that the death toll in the IAF strike was between 40 and 50. She also claimed that 35 to 40 people had been injured in the strike.

The Balakot camp in Pakistan, where the Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists were being trained, was bombed by Indian fighter jets on Tuesday.

The terrorists used four major infiltration routes to enter Jammu and Kashmir to carry out the attacks. Terrorists have also used Kel, located in the Neelam Valley in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), as the 'launching point' to infiltrate into Kashmir.

The infiltration routes, which are often used by the JeM terrorists to enter India, are Balakot-Kel-Dudhniyal, Balakot-Kel-KainthawaIi in Magam forest, Balakot-Kel-Lolab and Balakot-Kel- Kachama-Kralpora - all in Kupwara district.

The JeM terrorists conduct different training courses such as a three-month advance combat course called Daura-e-Khas, advance armed training course called Daura-Al-Raad.

Terrorists at the Balakot camp were trained in handling weapons such as AK-47, PIKA, LMG, rocket launcher, UBGL and grenade. It is suspected that the camp was functioning under cover of 'Madrasa Ayesha Sadiq'.

Apart from basic training in weapon handling, the terrorists were also trained in jungle survival, ambush, communication, GPS, map reading among others. They were also trained in swimming, sword fighting and horse riding.

During the training period, the terrorists were being radicalised by showing propaganda videos of JeM such as hijacking of Indian Airlines flight (IC-814) to Kandahar, alleged atrocities against Muslims, a video namely 'Haan Maine Dekha Hai Gujarat Ka Manzar' on post-Godhra riots.
