Naku similar experience bro....but engagement kaledu...just lokeshannam thinnar vallu ma vallu India lo..ah tarvata US lo eneu ammai week ki osari kalise vallam as it was like couple of hours drive....kani eppudu em gifts ivvaledu... restaurant ki vellina bill split chesi katte vallam...nenu like engagement kuda kaledu kada...tarvata kattochu le ani...but she took it other way and cancelled bro...

I know one interesting story. DB lo aa city nunchi janalu unte connect avutaru. Paapa ki NRI tho marriage fix ayyi engagement kuuda ayyindhi. Pelli inka 2-3 days anaga faffa jump with BF from college. Though BF's family and he settled in that city from many years, they originally belong to a western state. They jump to that state for protection. Got married and immigrated to a western country.

NRI gaadu bakra ayyadu. Took him time to recover and get married again from that stroke.
