Anta Assamey Posted March 24, 2019 Report Posted March 24, 2019 Congress candidate of Malkajgiri Lok Sabha constituency, Revanth Reddy, said that he and his party would move a private bill proposing to make Hyderabad as India's second capital if he wins the elections. He also said that he would form the government at the Centre as soon as he gets the power. He recalled that the idea of forming second capital was first proposed by Dr.BR Ambedkar decades ago. With the rising tensions across the border, it is better to have a second capital for the country, he said. He praised the city by calling it as the most-developed among South cities. As a part of seeking votes, Revanth has started campaigning in Malkagiri and met people in the park and a few laughing club members. While campaigning, he asked people to vote for the Congress and claimed that the party will put 100 per cent efforts in solving Malkajgiri long-pending problems like the construction of road under bridges and rail track over bridges. He also accused CM KCR for not having any plans to develop Hyderabad further and in fact, using the government money for his personal assets. Quote
