There was a rumor from congress circles(rather a public statement from them) that he made attempts to quit on KCR during assembly elections, he was supposed to join congress along with Vishweshwar reddy but changed his mind in the last minute. Along with that he didn’t do his part during assembly elections to support MLAs in his segment and also allegations that he provided support to rebels even Revanth
