Ebola cases reach 1,000 in the Democratic Republic of the Congo

The Ministry of Public Health for the Democratic Republic of the Congo has stated that there have been 1,089 cases of Ebola since the onset of the virus, of which 1,023 are confirmed and 66 are "probable." Seven new cases -- including three new deaths -- have also been confirmed.
