• On the House side, H.R. 1044 has been moved Immigration Subcommittee of the Judiciary Committee, which is the key committee to determine immigration legislative bills. With now 245 co-sponsors, passage in the House appears to be a matter of time. On the Senate side, S.386 which is a Senate companion bill has gained five (5) more cosponsors with total of 25 but yet to see progress in review and decision at the committee level. It appears that stakeholders may have to add some more push on the Senate side.

The wise thing is to reform this entire immigration system rather than makind aid work which is no use for anyone. They are not really following any rules like based on how the cases are adjudicated.

redesigning the whole legal system takes a lot of time & money and nobody is interested in looking at legal immigration right now rather the focus is on a bigger picture i.e, Illegals.
