According to an exclusive from Variety, the US Department of Justice warned the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences over its potential rule changes. The DOJ says "limiting the eligibility of Netflix and other streaming services for the Oscars could raise antitrust concerns and violate competition law."
