Anta Assamey Posted April 3, 2019 Report Posted April 3, 2019 The Telangana Police have tried to detained Telugu Desam Gannavaram MLA candidate Vallabhaneni Vamsi in connection with an Arm Act case. Going into the story, in the year 2009, Vamsi was an MLA from the same constituency and alleged then Congress government failed to provide security to him. So he appointed his own private security. After few days of this episode, the police in their raids found weapons in Vamsi's Hyderabad residence. Subsequently a case has been registered against Vamsi under Arms Act 1959. In the following years, Vamsi had approached the undivided Andhra Pradesh High Court and filed a squash petition. The court stroked off the case after hearing the arguments from both the sides. Out of nowhere this case again came to the notice of Telangana police. They filed a petition in the Nampally sessions court claiming that Vamsi did not appear before the court even once in regards to the case. So the Nampally court issued an non-bailable warrant against Vamsi. As soon as the police received the warrant, they reached Gannavaram and made attempts to arrest the TDP leader. Having got to know about this Vamsi alleged that this is a conspiracy by YSRCP while his supporters expressed anger over it. Quote
