The number of people who disapprove of the President has risen since he first took office, when his disapproval rating stood at 32 percent. It has since risen to 44 percent His net approvals have been in positive territory since he took office with one exception, December 2017. Nationwide, Morning Consult found President Trump is still very popular within the GOP with an 85 percent approval rating. More than three-quarters of them say they would support the President's nomination for another term, while 1 in 5 say they would like to see another candidate. Morning Consult says it surveys over 5,000 registered voters every day nationwide to compile its approval data. Quote
