Sinemia halting account usage until ID verification

This is so absurd. I just got this email too. It’s a movie watching subscription, not a homeland security application.

It’s so wild that I thought it was a spoofed email when I first opened it.

It's a Turkish company

They are just collecting as much data as possible to sell (think identity theft and forgery).

They aren't going to validate the information beyond a glance before bundling it and selling.

so you sent your DL and a photo to them ? aah ?

They are a Turkish company.

No one except for the government should be asking for passport or driver license #s.Sinemia's reasoning for requiring this makes 0 sense, as providing this information to them does not prove you are not sharing your account.

Sinemia could validate the ID even if the license and passport #s were blacked out, but they insist that they must be fully visible.

It's absolutely incredible how loose people are with their personal data to save some money.

Hopefully your never have issues with identify theft. It's a bitch to deal with.

your credit card details are with him..if they have to do an identity theft that it self is enough for them to do it..
