Jaya Prakash Narayana gadu edo interview lo told...it doesn't make any sense to conduct elections for 40 days.EC has enough man power to conduct with in two weeks ata. 

They are just prolonging it to facilitate political parties to campaign and to have authority over other institutions (like police, bureaucrats etc) for longer time.
