I am deeply disturbed by the recent allegations being thrown at me to tarnish my clean image. It’s sad that government machinery is being used by those in powerto damage my reputation and every crooked method is being applied to disturb the peaceful balance.

Firstly, the allegation two days before election of nabbing my patents advocate and further creating fabricated documents wrongly linking them to me . This was wrongfully flashed on all media channels to malign me. The people of Chevella understood this and supported me on 11th April. This was evident on Election Day.

Seeing this, every effort is being made to damage my clean image & character. The Sub Inspector barging into my office and creating a scene incident is testament to that. It was falsely fabricated and manipulated. I completely refute it.

The police inspectors came into my office and started interrogating the staff & engineers illegally. When I intervened they spoke rudely and pushed me. When we asked for a copy of the warrant & whether the process of serving the warrant was being followed, the officer started getting aggressive. They threatened my software engineer & me violating the procedures & laws.

The entire incident was recorded on the camera phone by my office staff. One can see how the officer was being aggressive towards me. I called my legal team also. It was I who actually first called the CI to complain but the CI was refusing to come on the line to speak.

I emphatically state that I have utmost respect for the police force and I neither touched any officer nor did I detain anyone forcefully. As a parliamentarian and responsible citizen, I am aware that it is a crime to touch/manhandle a person in uniform & it is a congnisable offense. If there was any intent to beat or lock up the SI, as wrongly claimed by them, why would I call the Commissioner. If the situation were not so sad it would be almost funny. Why would I do such a thing? It’s a baseless accusation to tarnish my image.

Anyone who knows me as a person knows that I am not a person who disrespects the law. This is political vendetta at its peak & abuse of government machinery to damage my reputation. This is not just an attack on me. This is an attack on democracy.

I have faith in the legal system & the laws of this country. Justice will be done!
