Saudi Arabia executes 37 citizens on 'terrorism' charges

The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) released a statement stating the executions are a direct punishment for "adopting extremist terrorist ideology" and "forming terrorist cells to corrupt" the peace and social security of its citizens. The last mass execution in Saudi Arabia took place in 2016 with 47 put to death, also on terror-related crimes.
