Elon Musk’s got a lot on his plate lately — rockets, traffic-dodging tunnels, solar power and, of course, tangling with short-sellers over the fate of TeslaTSLA, -0.11% . But if there’s a problem he wants fixed, “P.T. Musk,” as CNBC host Jim Cramer nicknamed him, tends to answer the call.

And make no mistake, loud garden tools are a real problem. Which brings us to Tesla’s upcoming product tease: “a quiet, electric leafblower.”

Musk’s announcement Tuesday on Twitter TWTR, +0.49% went viral, racking up some 211,000 likes — more than double his infamous “funding secured” tweet. His fans rejoiced, envisioning a world of silent yard maintenance.

The tweet even caught the attention of the world’s biggest porn site, which saw dollar signs in a potential collaboration:

Get your mind out of the gutter. “Like blowing twigs, too?” Musk asked.

While many were busy cheering the leaf blower...

All the extra hours of uninterrupted sleep we'll get (assuming apartment maintenance companies buy them) will be substantial. For the love of God and all that's holy... do this one thing. pic.twitter.com/a2bMFiQ9N5

... the guy who played Dwight on “The Office” was waiting for a hat tip:

Obviously, neither Wilson nor Musk can really claim credit for imagining a world without gas-powered leaf blower, since there are already plenty of electric ones on the market. Musk, however, says he can basically just throw one together.

“We can probably just repurpose Model 3 HVAC parts,” he said. “Not a big deal.”

We’ll have to wait and see on this one, but, considering he sold out his limited line of must-have flamethrowers, don’t count out the Tesla leaf blower.

Meanwhile, in perhaps more pressing matters for investors, Tesla is all set to report first-quarter results after the close on Wednesday, with Wall Street bracing for a loss following two quarters of profits. Garrett Nelson, an analyst at CFRA, said the numbers “could be an outright disaster.”
