Sat(ya), tat(tva), etc, are పదార్థములు. Everyone--whether it is some Jeeyar or Garikapati--says this world is full of such  పదార్థము, and the world is one.

However, we see the world is full of differences. If we go by current physics, the world can be reduced to four fundamental forces/fields/interactions: gravity, electromagnetism, weak and strong interactions. Or you can reduce this set to three: gravity, electromagnetic, electro weak theory that unites both weak and strong interactions. Existence of any thing is predicated upon these fundamental forces: if something exists, it can work as a causal agent.

However, Gita/Upanishads claim that, in the world of Adi Shankara, "Aham BhOjanam naiva bhOjyam na bhOkta": I am neither the food, nor the act of eating, nor the eater". Gita is full of "neti neti (not this, nor that)", "nainam (not this)", etc. These simply claim that Sat, tat  పదార్థములు are not causal agents.

How to reconcile this with the best knowledge we have of the world today, say, Physics? Just repeating "nainam chindanti sastraani, nainam dahati ..." 100 times a day won't help.
