This Gofundme is to support the young family of our dear friend, Ramachandra Batchu, who had a fatal heart attack and passed away at 42 years of age on Saturday, 28Apr2019. Ram leaves behind his wife and two lovely daughters; a 6th grader and a kindergartener. They are the sweetest people who deserve care, love, and support to get through this devastating time. In the decade and half of our friendship, we never saw Ram asking for help; Ram's family is generous and always helpful. Today, we are asking for donations to support his family.  We want the donations to help the mother focus on little ones and their needs in the near and longer-term. 

Ram was a dedicated father, husband, son, brother and a great friend. Ram was a simple, fun loving man who sought out the smallest opportunities to create happiness for him and for those around him. He was a polite mannered compassionate listener, adviser, well-wisher, and a kind individual.  

He is a first-generation immigrant and a relentless worker bee. He worked for 12 straight years without any time for a vacation. He was torn between providing the best future to his little ones and not being with his ailing father in India. We think his work-related stress, his H1B stress, his commute, his unyielding nature to fulfill his family and societal commitments eventually got the best of him. 

We plan to transfer his body to India for the funeral. This fundraiser will be used for funeral and travel expenses and also ease some financial burdens that this family will carry for the rest of their lives. Ram would appreciate that his family is being taken care of financially.
