Suppose your goal is to cure cancer, there are a lot of ways you can approach that problem. And each approach is very multidisciplinary that you need a lot of different tools/techniques. Each problem can use specific skillsets but each problem will also need different perspectives. So, the more you know the better you are at designing new approaches to cure cancer. 

But besides that everyone in the world has a passion. For me, learning and applying it to make new discoveries/inventions is my passion. Most importantly learning is my passion, it is the only thing I am proud about myself for. This is not about self-healing, it is more about having the Aww moment when I make a new discovery.

What's the point when you discover and not share so that other person spend his entire age getting to same point as you did? If whoever wrote those books/lectures also kept their learnings to themselves would it even enable you to get where you are today? All those who wrote those books are not passionate in writing a book.

Who said anything about not sharing? Ofcourse I publish my results in journals, I get patents if they have commercial significance. Science moves forward not because of one person but as a collective effort. And I get cited when others use my work, just like I cite others.
