Polls close in South Africa as the ruling party ANC faces tough electoral test

25 years after apartheid ended, South Africans have cast their votes in national and provincial elections. It is the first electoral test for President Cyril Ramaphosa, who assumed power last year after pledging to battle corruption in the country. His ruling party, the African National Congress (ANC), has been in power since 1994.
