Superstar Mahesh Babu, known as king of overseas market, has failed to bring in audiences to the theaters in big way with his latest release 'Maharshi'.

Since it is his 25th movie, the distributors had arranged premieres show in large of number screens anticipating a minimum of $1 million opening from premiere shows.

In a shocking manner, the film grossed just above $500k, which is nothing but low number.

Mahesh Babu's previous two movies "Spyder" and "Bharat Ane Nenu" had grossed $1 million each from premiere shows, while 'Maharshi' had got half the amount.
