Starting your own business/danda was the traditional american dream...not sure if it's still relevant though

It is:

SHARK TANK series

The question is: Are you cut out for business, working 100+ hours a week?

I think the question is how many are making it possible with huge competition

Competition is huge with more than 50,000 applications for each season (majority related to food). They shortlist 200 and finally air about 100 businesses in 24 episodes per season/year. It used to be 29 seasons per year but they reduced them to 24 from season 8. They could produce more episodes like one a week and they need more manpower. Netflix is producing so many expensive movies all over the world by just hiring writers, directors, technicians, etc.

If your show airs, your are a WINNER (even if you don’t get an investment offer) with all the PR worth millions of ad dollars as these shows get syndicated to other channels and re-aired over years and there is a spike in business each time your show gets re-aired. The technique is to have a captivating and jaw-dropping pitch as it is an entertainment show and they don’t care how successful or promising your business is. They look for Infomercial Energy in your pitch. You need to spend some money on your equipment and presentation to make it beautiful and appealing.

A good and stable full time job.

A wife and 2 children.

A 3 bedroom 2 bathroom house with 2-car garage fully paid.

A dog house 🐕 (well, I prefer a cat 🐈 with a cat tree).

Plenty of savings with no debt.

Candle light dinners, date nights, romantic walks and yearly vacations.

Peaceful and happy life 🙂

Sound sleep and sweet dreams!

It’s not a lot to expect to come to a loving heavenly sweet home after a day’s work but so hard to accomplish

You don’t need to go into that tank - just grind and crush your business on your own and keep 100% equity for yourself!!

Among the sharks, only Mark Cuban, Aston Kutcher and Barbara Corcoran are reasonable and very fair to entrepreneurs and these 3 people also work with each other well on joint investments. Every other shark (including pretty Robert) is a greedy opportunist. Kevin is the WORST.

Do some public speaking courses and Shark Tank courses beforehand. Also, buy all the seasons for $15 each and watch them to master their techniques and prepare.

TIP: If you want to get get your show aired, argue with Kevin and take his pants off on the show on national TV and they will air it for sure! But remember, it can go either way and could backfire on you if you are unprepared.

Shark Tank is an entertainment show and they don’t care how successful or promising your business is. They don’t care even if your business is making 99.99% profit (which is good for sharks) - if you are not entertaining, you don’t have a chance. The only time you own and control in the show is your pitch time which is the first 100 seconds after you enter the tank so just go all the way and crush it - after that they take over your proposition and try to grill you for the rest of the show.
