The Telangana Intermediate paper re-verification showed that the 22 students who committed suicide did not fail due to any paper evaluation error. Out of the 9.74 students who appeared for the Inter exam 2019, 3.28 lakh failed.

According to the board, the re-verification committee constituted to re-verify the answer scripts of students, who committed or attempted suicide, stated that a total of 53 answer-scripts of failed students who committed or attempted suicide were re-verified by the selected regular lecturers of respective subjects.

It was observed there was no remarkable change in the result of the students after re-verifying. Failed subjects, remained failed after re-verification too, the board said.
