Check the repairs cost man... usually if you rent from desi or any other person you need to pay some amount for repairs that are occurred during your stay... 

if that clause is there then go with apartment

Stay away from individual landlords - they are desperate, do not maintain standards and try to swallow your deposit at the end. They try to show the house even before the current tenant leaves with all their mess!

An apartment is a property management company with accounting, audits and standards. They do not show the place until it is vacated and professionally deep cleaned!! They do not charge anything excess (they cannot) and they have maintenance staff to take care of everything. It is more organized and structured.

Go for the apartment - even if it is more expensive - you’ll be happy.
