Not to the level of mini-Osho-Ashrams, but to the extent of swinging and swapping. 

For an ashram to succeed,  worker bees and queen/king bees are needed. I don't think humans will fit in this pattern of workers vs king/queen, unless a group of humans are living on some remote island--one such story where an entire island became "color blind"
