He is better of staying at journal square or Hoboken and taking path or visiting Niagara from Jersey side landing in NY side then he can take it from there.

Also hop on hop off bus tours in the morning and night tour in the evening is best thing to do in NYC coz it’s easy for parents to view all those without much of walking
